Theresa L. Young, age 50 of Vandalia, MI died Monday Dec. 6, 2010 at her home following a short illness. She was born in Lake County, IL on June 25, 1960 the daughter of Anthony and Ardell (Johnson) Derucki. She was a resident of the Vandalia area coming from Marcellus and Schoolcraft. She was married to Randy D. Young on Aug. 14, 1976 at the Corey Church of the Nazarene. She was employed at Bonar Plastics in Middlebury, IN for the past 9 years as a Supervisor. She was a member of the Coon Club, Weight Watchers, and enjoyed camping in Baldwin, MI. Theresa is survived by her husband, Randy Young of Vandalia; a daughter, Shellie (Jacob) Mabus of Mattawan; 2 sons, Harold (Alicia) Young of Marcellus and Daniel Young of White Pigeon; 6 grandchildren; her father, Anthony Derucki of Schoolcraft; 3 sisters, Mary Jo Holmes of Fountain Hills, AZ, Antoinette (Wendell) Willsea of Atlanta, GA, and Faye (John) Rossman of Phoenix, AZ; a brother, Raymond Derucki of Fountain Hills, AZ; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ardell. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, 2010 at the Eickhoff Farrand Halverson Chapel in Three Rivers. Cremation will then be conducted and a private interment of ashes will take place later. Memorials may be directed to the Borgess VNA and Hospice, 348 N. Burdick St., Kalamazoo, MI 49007
