Steven J. Johnson, age 60 of Lansing, beloved brother and uncle, died of natural causes on Friday July 16, 2010 at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing after being stricken at his home. He was born on Oct. 12, 1949 in Three Rivers the child of Alva T. and Stella N. (Wodjylo) Johnson. He was a graduate of Constantine High School and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He has been a resident of Lasing for the past 20 years. Steven was employed in the shipping department for American Axle and for General Motors. Steven enjoyed his family very much. He liked to cook, garden, fish, travel, and caring for his animals.
Steven is survived by 3 sisters, Roseann Johnson of Oregon, Sueann Mirkovich of Indianapolis, and Marieann Johnson of Constantine; 7 brothers, Tim of Centreville, Ted of California, Jim of Lansing, John of Three Rivers, Jack of London, Ontario, Canada, Tom of Sturgis, and Joe of Nevada; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and infant brother, Michael; a sister in law, Marsha Johnson; and a brother in law, Kenneth Mirkovich.
Cremation has been conducted. A private family service will be held later with interment of cremains in Moorepark Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given to a charity of one's choice. Arrangements were by the Eickhoff Farrand Halverson Chapel of Three Rivers.
