Stephen Dale Dugan, age 57 of Three Rivers, died unexpectedly on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital in Beach Grove, IN. He was born in Indianapolis, IN on Oct. 25, 1950 the son of Richard and Joan (Utterbeck) Dugan. He was a 1969 graduate of Three Rivers High School, and had been employed by American Axle for 14 years. Stephen was a member of UAW Local 2093. He was a bass guitar player and played in several events throughout St. Joseph County. He enjoyed Beatles music and the old scary movies. He loved sports and was a Detroit Tigers, and Lions fan. He is remembered as a hard worker and fun loving, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Stephen is survived by his wife, Cheri (Warmack) Dugan; 1 son, Alex Dugan; 2 step-daughters, Amy and Wendy Carpenter; 2 brothers, James and John Dugan all of Three Rivers; his mother, Joan R. Dugan of Beach Grove, IN; and aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Dugan; and by a sister, Jackie Dugan.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Eickhoff, Farrand, Halverson Chapel in Three Rivers. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, 2008 at the funeral home with Rev. Gary Carr, Pastor of the Corey Church of the Nazarene officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
