Ronald Louis Woods, age 74 of Three Rivers died Friday Sep. 27, 2013 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo following a long illness. He was born in Joliet, IL on May 28, 1939 the son of Louis A. and Harriet (Longacre) Woods. Ron had been employed by General Motors in Willow Springs, IL for 25 years before transferring to the Comstock Plant in May of 1990. He was a member of the U.A.W. and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Ron is survived by his wife, Phyllis (Woldahl) Woods of Three Rivers; three children, David (Robin) Woods of Killeen, TX, Phillip Woods of Joliet, IL, and Kathryn Woods of Three Rivers; five grandchildren, Mirena, Chelsea, Haili, Zack, and Leland; three great-grandchildren, Carl, Alana, and Dallas. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a granddaughter, Haylee Grace Woods. Cremation has been conducted and no services are planned at this time.
