Michael Wayne Tout, age 49 of Three Rivers died Saturday Jan. 21, 2012 at his home following a short battle with cancer. He was born in Three Rivers on Jan. 1, 1963 the son of Leroy W. and Dorothy A. (Farley) Tout. He attended Shelbyville, IL public Schools from 1974-79 and later graduated from Three Rivers High School in 1981 where he was a member of the National Society.. Michael received his Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from De Vry University in Columbus, OH. He also attended the Texas Baptist College Seminary in Longview, TX and was a licensed Minister. Michael was a member of the Community Baptist Church in Portage where he was a Youth Group leader and involved in mission work having traveled to Canada and Germany. He also volunteered in the Jail Ministry and Nursing Home ministry in St. Joseph County. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling.
Michael is survived by his mother, Dorothy "Dottie" Tout of Three Rivers; sister, Lori (Tim) Holder of Three Rivers; niece, Jacqueline (Andrew) Mathews of Sturgis; great-nephew, Johnathan Alexander of Sturgis; uncle, Bill Farley (Virginia) of Oregon; aunt, Joan Halsey of Bellview, MI; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Leroy; and his brother, Bobby Price.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Eickhoff, Farrand, Halverson Chapel in Three Rivers. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday Jan. 28, 2012 at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 523 Maple Street, Three Rivers with Pastor Kyle Foster and Pastor Paul Delmark officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Calvary Missionary Baptist Church for the Olympic Bible Project, or to Portage Community Baptist Church.
