Mary D. Pittman, age 76 of Marcellus, died Saturday Nov. 19, 2011 at Three Rivers Health following a short illness. She was born on Nov. 11, 1935 in Constantine the daughter of Harley and Amanda (Schmidtendorff) Kline and was a resident of Marcellus since 1957 coming from Jones. She graduated from Constantine High School in 1953 and later was employed by C.G. Conn in Elkhart, IN until she married Noble B. Pittman on Sep. 15, 1957. She helped on the farm and did gardening and canning. She worked for the Fabius Township elections committee for 50 years, for Willow Lake Campground for 6 years, McDonalds, Stutesman Accounting Services, and DeBoer Materials for 17 years. Mary became a mother on Oct. 23, 1960 to Nancy Allen, and on Oct. 16, 1963 to David Noble. She enjoyed her children very much. She also enjoyed crafts, reading, and watching her grandchildren's sport activities. Mary is survived by her husband, Noble B. Pittman of Marcellus; daughter Nancy E. (James Jr.) Jacobs of Three Rivers; son David (Connie) Pittman of Plano, TX; grandsons, Benjamin and Matthew Jacobs; several neices, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; 4 brothers, Leland, Frank, John, and Joseph Kline. Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday Nov. 23, 2011 at the Eickhoff Farrand Halverson Chapel in Three Rivers where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday Nov. 25, 2011. Interment will follow in Mottville Township Cemetery.
