Obituary

Marlene, formerly of the Village of Midway (LaCrosse) WI, passed after a valiant struggle with ALS. She was a beloved sister/aunt/wife. Marlene loved her four-legged kids (Brandy, Buddy, and Squirt), traveling the world visiting her military family, eating exotic foods in Japan / Thailand / Singapore / Italy, gardening(flowers), fishing with her favorite brother-in-law Dennis in Madison WI and her beloved Green Bay Packers. Marlene will be dearly missed by her family, co-workers, and customers at Ryder Rentals, which was a large part of her life over the last 20 years. She received numerous accolades from her customers and co-workers over the years.

When she was young, she loved sliding down a large hill behind her parents' home in the winter along with all the neighbor kids. After freezing all afternoon, she would sit in front of the oil burner stove to thaw out awaiting dinner to fight for her portion of food with her 6 big brothers an 2 sisters. Also, thanks to Tracey Frobel, her faithful caregiver, hospice, and the ALS association.

Survived by Mike Kirchner, and six siblings.

The family will hold a private remembrance at a future date in Ettrick, WI at the family burial site.
