Marie E. Rathbun, age 94 of Kalamazoo, and formerly of Galesburg and Three Rivers, died Thursday, March 5, 2009 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. She was born in Kalamazoo on Feb. 28, 1914 the daughter of Emmett and Florence (Egan) Hawley. Marie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Victor W. Rathbun in 1971; 3 brothers, Raymond, Harry, and Ernest Hawley; and by 2 sisters, Mary Hedges and Betty Bedecs. She is survived by a brother, Emmett Hawley of Augusta; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Monday at the Eickhoff, Farrand, Halverson Chapel in Three Rivers. Graveside services will be 1:15 p.m. Monday, March 9, 2009 in Riverside Cemetery.
