Marco David Chapman, age 16 of Three Rivers died Wednesday July 19, 2017 while swimming with friends along the St. Joseph River. He was born in Three Rivers on Feb. 27, 2001 the son of Marco David Patton and Leesa O. Chapman, and was a lifetime resident of the Michiana area. Marco had just completed the 10th grade at Lakeland Schools in LaGrange, Indiana. He enjoyed, fishing, bike riding, music, and video games. And he loved time spent with family and friends. Marco is survived by his parents, Leesa Chapman of Three Rivers and Marco (Destinee Miller) Patton of LaGrange; grandparents, David and Shirley Chapman; three brothers, Trent Williams, Dustin Wilsey, and Dillan Chapman; two sisters, Shania Shaffer and Lacie Patton; and by many aunts, uncles, and cousins, along with his dog, Amberette. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Monday at the Eickhoff Farrand Halverson Chapel in Three Rivers, and from noon to 1 PM Tuesday at New Beginnings Church north of Sturgis. Funeral services will be 1 PM Tuesday July 25, 2017 at the New Beginnings Church, 68705 M-66, Sturgis, 49091, with Pastor Randy Evans officiating. Interment will be in Nottawa Cemetery.
