Katherine "Kathy" M. Ferguson-West, age 77, passed away on August 30, 2024, at home in Three Rivers, Michigan. She was born in Detroit, MI on February 24, 1947, a daughter to Joseph A. and Amelia (Vinarski) Ferguson. Kathy married John West on July 3, 1980 in Pontiac, MI. She spent a majority of her life in Waterford, MI. Kathy and John recently moved to Three Rivers to be closer to family. Kathy received her Masters degree in psychology and worked at Clinton Valley Center, as a Psychologist for the State of Michigan for 40 years, before she retired. In her free time she loved to travel. She was the life of the party and had an amazing laugh. Kathy was a generous person and loyal friend. She had her core group of friends which she would always make time for. She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years John West of Waterford, MI; Daughter: Amy (Chris) Evenhouse of Three Rivers, MI; grandchildren: Charlotte Verduzco of Three Rivers, MI, Lily Verduzco of Three Rivers, MI, Ben Evenhouse of Three Rivers, MI, Elosie Evenhouse of Three Rivers, MI; siblings: Joseph (Patricia) Ferguson of White Hall, MI and Vernon (Sharon) Ferguson of Cape Coral, FL; two nephews. Kathy is preceded in death by her parents Joseph A. and Amelia Ferguson. In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. There will be a graveside service on September 21, 2024, at 2:00PM at Riverside Cemetery in Three Rivers, MI.
