Joan M. Bussing, age 74 of Three Rivers died Wednesday Dec. 2, 2015 at Riverview Manor in Three Rivers following a short illness. She was born in Fremont, MI on June 16, 1942 the daughter of Robert and Irene (Schneider) Rumsey. She has resided in Three Rivers since 1990, coming from Devils Lake, MI. Joan was a homemaker, and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Three Rivers. She enjoyed fishing, quilting, and crocheting. She was involved in numerous church activities and volunteer works. Joan was married to John W. Bussing on Jan. 21, 1977 in Spring Lake. John died June 4, 2006. She is survived by 2 sons, Jeffrey S. (Linda Baird) Swor of Jerome, MI and Richard D. Swor of Salinas, CA; 2 grandchildren; 3 step-children, Sharon Bussing, Rachelle Burhle, and Edward Bussing; step-grandchildren; half-sister, Penny Kozla; brother, Jerry (Janet) Rumsey. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; daughter, Camey Marie Stroven; son, Joseph M. Swor; brother, Jack Rumsey. Visitations will be from 10 AM to 1 PM Monday Dec. 7, 2015 at the Eickhoff Farrand Halverson Chapel in Three Rivers. Funeral services will begin at 1 PM Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Jim Stilwell, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Cremation will follow services.
