Janice Ida Merhman, age 71 of Three Rivers, died Thursday May 12, 2011 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo where she had been a patient for 2 weeks. She was born in Erie, Pennsylvania on January 17, 1940 the daughter of Myron and Ida (Bretz) Manross. She was married to Charles Merhman in 1971 in White Pigeon; he died in 1982. Jan had worked for several companies in the Michiana area. She is survived by 2 daughters, Mollie (Tony Sove) Griffin of Three Rivers, and Lisa Kightlinger of Pennsylvania; 5 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother; and a sister. Cremation has been conducted. A private memorial service will be held later.
