Janet B. Eggleston, age 81 of Three Rivers died peacefully at her home on Sunday, July 15, 2018. She was born in Three Rivers on Aug. 5, 1936 the daughter of Bernard and Irene (Coler) Rhodes. Janet was married to David Jay Eggleston on Aug. 22, 1953 in Angola, Indiana. They resided in Texas for ten years where she worked as a Hostess at the K&G Restaurant in Seguin. Upon their return to Three Rivers she worked at Pat & Laverne's Cafe as a waitress and later as a cashier at the South Main Shell. In her spare time, she enjoyed drawing, painting, and puzzles. Janet is survived by her husband, David; a son, David J. Eggleston, Jr.; daughter, Kippy Lee Eggleston-Gibson (Jeff); grandsons, Jason David Eggleston and Jordan William Eggleston (Randi); great-grandson, Riley Eggleston; sister, Beverly Kauffman all of Three Rivers; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Karen Buscher; three brothers, Ben, Harvey, and Eric Rhodes; and a sister, Roseanne Lodgston. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has been conducted, and no services are planned at this time. Memorials may be directed to a charity of one's choice.
