Freda J. McCallie, age 57 of rural Three Rivers died Sunday Dec. 11, 2016 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. She was born in Three Rivers on Dec. 20, 1958 the daughter of Delbert "Bill" and O. Marie (Neal) McCallie and was a lifetime resident of the area. She graduated from Marcellus High School with the class of 1977.. Freda was a member of the Clavary Missionary Baptist Church in Three Rivers where she enjoyed singing. She also enjoyed crocheting and visiting with family and friends. Freda is survived by her father, Bill McCallie of Three Rivers; two sisters, Sherry (Keith) Sutton of Otsego and Debra (Rick) Jordan of Grant; two brothers, Del McCallie of Constantine and Keith McCallie of Chugiak, Alaska; several nieces and nephews; great nieces and great nephews; aunts, uncles, and cousins. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has been conducted. A private family memorial service will be held later. If desired, memorial may be directed to either the American Cancer Society, the Susan G. Komen Foundation, or a charity of one's choice.
