Everett C. "Buddy" Johnson, age 54 of Three Rivers died Thursday, Sep. 13, 2018 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. He was born in Newberry, Michigan on Dec. 5, 1963 the son of Everett and Rebecca (Smith) Johnson. Buddy attended Marcellus schools, worked on area farms, and was a carpenter at US Cargo and Merhow Trailers. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. Buddy is survived by four daughters, Myranda (Amber) Owen of Three Rivers, Andery Johnson of Three Rivers, Shawnda Mayo and Brittney Mayo of Ft. Wayne; eight grandchildren, Cole and Bentley Nipper, Aiden Pollitt, Dustin, Ethan, Carter, Alexis, and Katelyn Mayo; three sisters, Sherry (Dave) Stuck of Caspian, MI, Beatrice Lesher of Sturgis and Carol Roskam of Jones; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and by three siblings, Gladys Caudill, Sue Hensley, and Charlie Johnson. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 am Tuesday, Sep. 18, 2018 at the Eickhoff Farrand Halverson Chapel in Three Rivers. Funeral services will begin at 11 am Tuesday at the funeral home with Preacher Mark Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Bly Cemetery near Marcellus.
