Evelyn J. Neice, age 93 of Three Rivers died Monday Oct. 22, 2012. She was born in Goshen, IN on Aug. 5, 1919 the daughter of Lloyd and Audrey (Spencer) DeWitt.. She graduated from Riley High School in South Bend, and was later married to Jack Henry Neice. Evelyn worked at C.T.S. in Elkhart for 30 years, retiring in 1973. She enjoyed gardening, bowling, mushroom hunting, and especially enjoying the sun on the patio of her Corey Lake home. Evelyn was always very outgoing and fun to be around, and always put others before herself. Evelyn is survived by a son, Robert (Mary) Neice of Three Rivers; 2 daughters, Kim Sears of Constantine and Toni Neice of Three Rivers; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Carol (Bob) Hartraft of Union and Mary (Jim) Lau of Elkhart. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack; 3 brothers, Fred, Trev, and Bill DeWitt; and by special pets, Lady, Ty, and Emmy. In keeping with her wishes, burial has taken place in Riverside Cemetery in Three Rivers, and no services are planned at this time.
