Evelyn A. Myers, age 92 of Three Rivers, died Friday March 28, 2008 at the Sunshine Adult Foster Care Home in Three Rivers where she had resided the past six months. She was born in Three Rivers on May 11, 1915 the daughter of Francis and Ella Mae (Kaiser) Schultz and was a lifetime resident of Three Rivers. She attended the Coon Hollow Country School and graduated from Three Rivers High School. Evelyn was married to Maynard A. Myers on May 23, 1936 in LaGrange, IN. Evelyn was an active member of the Ninth Street United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She was employed as a secretary for Wells Manufacturing for almost 50 years. In her spare time, Evelyn volunteered at the hospital, and enjoyed making floral arrangements for patients and shut-ins. Evelyn is survived by a sister, Dorothy K. Munk of Portage; sister in law, Dortha Szpiech of Elkhart, IN and her children, Phillip, Marilyn, and David; grand nieces, Evelyn, Kierith, and Pamala; grand nephews, Jason and Steven; and special cousins, Gerald & Judy Cook of Howe, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Maynard; and a niece, Eleanor Riggs. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. both Sunday and Monday at the Eickhoff Farrand Halverson Chapel in Three Rivers. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at the funeral home with Rev. David Reaume, Pastor of the Ninth Street United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Ninth Street United Methodist Church, or the Three Rivers Health Lights of Love Project.
