David Jay Eggleston Sr., age 89, of Three Rivers, Michigan passed away at his home in Three Rivers on Saturday, July 22, 2023. He was born November 18, 1933 a son to Frank and Nellie (White) Eggleston in Marcellus, Michigan. David married Janet Rhodes on August 22, 1953 in Angola, Indiana. He resided in the Three Rivers area for the last 65+years after spending some time in Texas. David was a tool & die maker upon retirement. He worked at Armstrong, Whitehead Tool, Square D and Spring Tool. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 170, the Three Rivers Moose Lodge #474 and the Three Rivers Eagles # 2303. David loved to hunt, fish and enjoy the outdoors. He liked watching football and nascar. David is survived by son: David Jay Eggleston, Jr. of Three Rivers; Daughter: Kippy Lee (Jeff) Gibson of Three Rivers, MI; Grandsons: Jason David Eggleston of Three Rivers and Jordan William (Randi) Eggleston of Three Rivers; Great-Grandchildren: Riley and Cooper Eggleston of Three Rivers; Sister: Linda (Howard) Saidla of Three Rivers; Several Nieces and Nephews; Special companion, his dog- Micky. He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, a daughter; Karen Eggleston of Three Rivers, she passed away May 10, 2012; Siblings: Bob Eggleston, Betty Maggert, Guy Eggleston and Olin Eggleston.
