Ray Funeral Services
1:00 - 3:00 pm (Eastern time)
Celeste Noreen McWatters passed away peacefully at her home on April 12, 2026, at just 12 days old. She was born on March 31, 2026, the beloved daughter of Lacey McWatters and Lonnie Williams, III.
Though her time here was brief, Celeste left a lasting imprint on the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She was a beautiful baby girl with dark hair, and blue-gray eyes that had just begun to open to the world around her. She had already begun to smile, showing a spirited personality—often giving a cheeky glare or a playful side-eye that hinted at her feisty nature. From her very first day, she showed her strength, even holding her own pacifier.
Celeste was active and full of life even before her birth, keeping her mother company throughout pregnancy. In loving anticipation, her mother spent months preparing for her arrival, carefully painting her room purple. In her short time at home, Celeste filled the days with sweet coos and tiny grunts that her mother will forever cherish. One of the many precious memories includes the way her little toes would curl while she drank her bottles.
In her passing, Celeste became a true hero. As an organ donor, she gave the gift of life to other children, a selfless and extraordinary legacy that reflects the light she brought into the world. Though her life was short, her impact will be far-reaching and everlasting.
Celeste is survived by her loving parents, Lacey McWatters of Three Rivers, Michigan, and Lonnie Williams, III; her siblings, Izsabella Pompey, Nova Williams, and Montana Williams; her grandparents, Shannon Case and Linda Case, both of Nottawa, Michigan, Donna Gosa of Three Rivers, Michigan, and Lonnie Williams, Jr. of Chicago, Illinois; and her many aunts and uncles, Lonnetta Williams, Dominique Williams, Rommi Williams, Curtis Williams, Jacob (Courtni) Wood, Daveon Coats, Estelle Wood, Corey Johnson, and Layla Goodwin.
She is preceded in death by brother Nahsir Reese; Grandpas: Marty McWatters and Roy Wood; and cousin: Jesse Berg.
Though her life was brief, Celeste’s presence brought love, joy, and meaning that will never be forgotten.
In accordance with family wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held on May 2, 2026, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Ray Funeral Services, 305 Rock River Ave., Three Rivers, Michigan 49093.
