Beverly Jean Kozik, age 88 of Three Rivers, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2007 at the Three Rivers Health Hospice Suite following a brief illness. She was born in Three Rivers on Jan. 3, 1919 the daughter of John and Lillian (Horn) Diedrich, and was a graduate of Three Rivers High School. Her first marriage to Robert Horner ended in divorce. She was married to Anthony Kozik on Feb. 14, 1944 in Three Rivers. Anthony died in 1999.
Beverly was a member of the Moorepark Community Church. She enjoyed crafts, especially ceramics and crocheting. Over the years she has donated many afghans to the residents local nursing homes. She also enjoyed bingo, and was a member of the Red Hat Society.
Beverly is survived by a daughter, Janice (Albert) Marunde of Manistique; 2 sons, Gary Joe Kozik and Lynn (Christine) Kozik both of Three Rivers; 6 grandchildren, Cindy McGlothlen, Cathy Rice, Michael Hackenberg, Michelle Heuring, Matt Kozik, and Megan Kozik; 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Dennis Kozik; and a sister, Leona Wiedenbeck.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Eickhoff, Farrand, Halverson Chapel in Three Rivers. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2008 at the funeral home with Rev. Kenneth Miller, Pastor of the Moorepark Community Church officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
