Alma A. Bell, age 79 of Three Rivers died Saturday Oct. 17, 2015 at the Three Rivers Health. She was born in Grand Rapids on July 22, 1936 the daughter of Leonard and Merlie Mae (Ash) Haines. She was a Three Rivers resident many years, coming from Grand Rapids. She was employed as a surgical technician and teacher at Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids. She was a member of the Grant Chapel, AME Church in Three Rivers, and enjoyed bowling. Alma is survived by her brother, Reginald Haines of Lawrenceville, GA; great aunt, Lorna Mourning of Cassopolis; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers and sisters. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday Oct. 22, 2015 at the Grant Chapel, 411 4th Avenue in Three Rivers. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church with Pastor Pamela Williams officiating. Cremation will follow with interment of ashes in Riverside Cemetery at a later date.
